Privacy Policy
LocalMedia Tools is a privacy-first toolbox. The core idea is simple: your media is processed on your own device, not on our servers. This policy explains exactly what happens to your files and what limited, anonymous information we collect.
What stays on your device
All video, audio, and image processing runs entirely inside your browser. We do not upload, receive, or store your media, filenames, or file contents — they never leave your device unless you choose to save the result.
Anonymous analytics
We may collect anonymous, aggregate usage events — such as which tool was used and whether it succeeded or failed, recorded in coarse buckets — to understand what to improve. We never log filenames, file sizes, paths, or any of your content. Aside from the one-time model or library downloads described below (which reveal your IP to a CDN but never your media), analytics is the only outbound data — and even it excludes your files.
Third-party model and library downloads
Some tools download a one-time model or library file from a content delivery network — for example, the speech model used by the audio transcriber. This is a download to your device so the tool can run locally; it is not an upload of your data.
Cookies
The core tools do not require accounts or cookies. Your browser may cache page assets and downloaded models locally so the site loads faster on your next visit.
Children
LocalMedia Tools is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision.
